Job description
WelderLocation: Houston, TX (Onsite) Duration: 3 Months Contract (Temp to Hire) Shift: Monday to Friday 5:00 am - 3:30pm open to overtime and weekends Pay Range: $ Per hourPerform welding tasks in the manufacture of products to conform with specifications and certification requirementsWeld production and more difficult prototype instrumentation piece parts in various materials including stainless steel.Precious and semi-precious metals using various types of welding processes which may include TIG and/or MIGMay operate program welding machine to weld production unitsSet up fixtures and client out work for production and prototype piece partsTrouble shoot problem welding areasMay train other welders and/or provide welding support to others as neededMay work with various internal departments to establish welding process parametersWelds must pass destructive and non-destructive testing based on certification requirements per individual productParticipate in continuous improvement processesRecommend changes to and participate in the review of manufacturing proceduresPerform daily organization and cleanup of work areaFollow safety guidelines and report unsafe conditions and incidents to supervisionPerform work of a miscellaneous nature as requiredMust Have:Welding experienceMust obtain and maintain individual welding qualification and certification per product requirementsTrouble shoot problem welding areasPrevious experience with TIG and/or MIGWelder must pass destructive and non-destructive testing based on certification requirements per individual product
