Job description
Builden Partners seeks a Chicago-based Marketing Assistant to support the development and execution of marketing and business development strategies for our growing roster of law firm clients. Under the direction of the Chief Services Officer, this position will work closely with internal team members to advance the written and tactical marketing efforts across multiple clients. The ideal candidate is a self-starter with 1-2 years of marketing experience, exceptional organizational and project management skills, excellent communication abilities and the capacity to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Contract Structure
This is a remote contract position with an expected commitment of approximately 10-20 hours per week, with the opportunity for additional work as client demand grows. Contractors set their own schedules while remaining responsive during regular business hours and meeting all assigned deadlines.
Responsibilities
Drafting marketing content under team direction, including: Website copy, attorney bios, practice group descriptions, case studies and case wins
Social media copy for LinkedIn, X and Facebook
Client newsletters, alerts and press releases
Award submissions, including award and list tracking management
PowerPoint and proposal content, including layout and formatting
Marketing collateral, such as pitch decks and brochures
Concise, compelling copy that fits required word limits
Completing digital marketing communications projects, including: Email distributions, event invitations and digital ads, including list building and scheduling in HubSpot, Mailchimp or Constant Contact
Website updates and back-end content execution following process documents and templates
Social media post coordination and metrics analysis
Basic graphic design and visual content development using tools such as Canva
Executing event logistics, including: Venue and vendor research
Invitation list management and RSVP tracking
Guest outreach and follow up communications
Day-of technical and logistical support
Conducting secondary research for projects such as: Market intelligence by region or practice group
Sponsorship opportunities
Speaking engagements
The Right Candidate Brings:
A bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, journalism or a related discipline, or 1-2 years of relevant experience in a marketing agency, PR agency, law firm or professional services setting
Exceptional written communication skills, including persuasive marketing writing and the ability to synthesize complex content
Strong verbal communication skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook) and Canva
Working knowledge of WordPress, HubSpot or Mailchimp, Google Analytics 4 and social media platforms, including LinkedIn, X and Facebook
Ability to manage multiple projects, priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Excellent organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail
Understanding of the confidentiality expectations that come with supporting law firm clients
