The Role

Zicasso is looking for a highly skilled Marketing Data Analyst to join our team. In this role, you will play a key part in uncovering actionable marketing insights that drive our business forward. You will work closely with marketing, product, and customer experience teams to interpret complex datasets, design reporting frameworks, evaluate campaign performance, and provide data-driven recommendations to optimize customer acquisition, retention, and overall marketing strategy. This is an individual contributor position.

Key Responsibilities

Marketing Analytics & Reporting: Interpret data, analyze results using statistical techniques, and provide ongoing reports and dashboards to support marketing campaigns, ad spend optimization, customer retention strategies, and personalized communication.

BI & Dashboard Development: Build and maintain informative, well-designed dashboards in Tableau and Looker Studio to track key performance indicators (KPIs) across acquisition channels.

Funnel & User Journey Analysis: Analyze user behavior across the entire customer journey to identify friction points, optimize conversion funnels, and uncover opportunities for acquisition and retention growth.

Experimentation & Testing: Assist in designing, implementing, and analyzing A/B tests and promotional experiments to evaluate the business impact of marketing and product initiatives.

Data Integration & Quality: Develop strategies that optimize statistical efficiency and data quality. Collaborate with data engineering to acquire, join, and validate marketing data from primary and secondary sources (e.g., Google Ads, GA4, Search Console).

Customer & Campaign Insights: Apply segmentation and analytical techniques to analyze ad spend efficiency, customer targeting, and campaign performance.

Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with marketing, product, management, and customer experience teams to prioritize business and information needs, translating business requirements into clear analytical tasks.

Process Improvement: Locate and define new opportunities for process improvement, automated reporting, and analytical workflows using tools such as GitHub, Jira, and Google Workspace.

Required Skills and Experience

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Marketing Analytics, Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, Information Management, or a related field.

Experience: 5 years of experience as a Data Analyst, Business Data Analyst, or Marketing Analyst embedded within or consulting for a marketing department.

Marketing Ecosystem Expertise: Technical experience navigating and extracting data from marketing platforms (Google Ads, GA4, Search Console) and leveraging BigQuery or SQL to join disparate marketing datasets for cross-channel analysis and attribution.

BI & Visualization: Adept at query writing, report generation, and building interactive dashboards with BI tools (Tableau and Looker Studio).

Technical & Analytical Stack: Strong SQL skills and proficiency in Python (Jupyter Notebook) or R for dataset manipulation, basic modeling, and statistical analysis.

Data & Statistical Skills: Knowledge of statistics and Bayesian statistics, data modeling techniques, and data validation techniques when working with large or complex datasets.

Business Acumen & Problem Solving: Excellent problem-solving skills with a proven ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information accurately while translating findings into clear marketing recommendations.
