Massage Therapist Position at Meltspa By HersheyJoin the team at Meltspa By Hershey, a day spa located in downtown Hershey featuring a full range of spa treatments and salon services, including exclusive Hershey's dark chocolate treatments and 9 premier treatment rooms.The Massage Therapist administers professional massage and body treatments to our guests. They must have a thorough knowledge of numerous massage modalities, possess a general understanding of body treatments and be willing to train in our spa's specific massage and body treatment offerings.As a Full-Time Team Member, you will enjoy sweet perks like FREE admission to Hersheypark, discounts, and more as soon as you receive your Employee ID! Your total compensation consists not only of the wage that you are paid, but also includes Medical, Dental, and Vision coverage beginning the first day of the next month after you begin working, 401K Contribution, paid time off, and so much more!Job Duties:Provide consistent professional massage and body treatments in accordance with spa protocols and accepted certification practices.Effectively inform and educate our guests about specific wellness concerns, and recommend home care products/regimens from our retail selection.Uphold the standards of sanitation and sterilization as directed by law and the spa's policies and procedures.Perform prep work, properly clean and restock room as required.Assist team in ensuring cleanliness of front of house and back of house areas, as well as assist in restocking and organization of the facility where needed.Communicate to management any and all occurrences involving staff or guests in the spa that require attention.Actively promote the spa, treatments, services and retail, as well as programs, promotions and/or discounts available.Regularly attend, participate in and support training and staff meetings for the spa. Assist in all areas of spa operation as requested by management.Perform other duties as assigned.Qualifications:18 years of age or older.Current license/certification/registration required; graduation from recognized massage school and/or national massage certification is preferred.This position participates in the post-offer employment testing program.Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:Must have a professional image representative of the luxury day spa market.Must possess excellent communication and guest service skills.Job Demands:Constantly (67 – 100% of time) Stand, Reach Forward, Finger, and GraspFrequently (34 – 66% of time) Lift (0-10 lbs), Walk, Climb stairs, Stoop, and Handle Objects.Occasionally (1 – 33%) Lift (11 – 50 lbs), Carry (0 – 50 lbs), Push (0-50 lbs.), Pull (0-50 lbs.), Sit, Reach Overhead, Balance, Crouch, Operate ControlsThis position requires a flexible work schedule within the day spa hours of operation.This job requires the visual ability to perform detailed work at close distances (computer screens, accounting ledgers, using measurement devices).This job regularly requires verbal communication of detailed information to others either by phone or in person.Must be able to speak and read the English language.Substantial movements (motions) of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers (Repetitive motion).Hershey Entertainment and Resorts is an Equal Opportunity EmployerEqual Opportunity Employer This employer is required to notify all applicants of their rights pursuant to federal employment laws.
