Job description
Licensed Massage TherapistLake Austin Spa Resort - Austin, TXResponsibilities:Take notes regarding each client's medical history and ensure that appropriate precautions are taken so that the condition is not aggravatedProvide clients with knowledge of different types of available massages and suggest appropriate massage therapies for individual clientsExplain the massage procedure and provide information about oils and creams used during massagePerform massaging activities according to each client's instructions (pressure and preferred oil/cream)Talk to clients (minimally) during massage treatments to ensure their well-being during the procedureUphold the standards of hygiene and sterilization as directed by law and the spa's policies and proceduresMaintain a constructive attitude and add toward a quality work environmentQualifications:Qualified candidates will have at least 500 training hours, including one year of licensed, hands-on experience.Current Texas massage therapist license required.Excellent customer service skillsOutstanding communication and listening skillsAbility to build relationships with guestsAbility to promote products and servicesAbility to work as part of a teamAbout Lake Austin Spa Resort:Nestled along the shores of scenic Lake Austin in the beautiful Texas Hill Country, Lake Austin Spa Resort offers guests the sanctuary of an award-winning spa and the warmth of a best friend's lake house.Lake Austin Spa Resort offers all-inclusive vacation packages, which include accommodations in one of 40 charming lakeside guest rooms across 12 landscaped grounds, three gourmet meals daily, indoor, and outdoor fitness activities and classes, and a selection of more than 100 spa and body treatments in the 25,000-square foot spa.What makes Lake Austin Spa Resort an incredible, rewarding place to work?
