Job description
Massage TherapistSouthall is a premier destination bringing nature, produce, and people together in a powerful and unique way.The Massage Therapist will provide expert therapeutic massage and body experiences in accordance with advanced standards training provided by Southall.ResponsibilitiesProvide consistent professional massage and body treatments in accordance with spa protocols and accepted certification practicesBe flexible with your schedule, supporting the needs of the spaAttend regular department meetingsStay current on the latest thinking pertinent to the massage/body treatment department and become well-versed and trained in its applicationExplain products and reasons for the prescribed body treatment to members and guestsPrepare massage equipment and supplies daily as directedMaintain supply and treatment areas as directedSubmit supply requests to the Spa Director in a timely fashion to ensure proper product availability for member and guestsEnsure a pleasant visit for each member and guest and maintain effective guest relationsBe a patient, courteous listener, and treat all sensitive personal medical information on member and guests in strictest confidenceBe knowledgeable and informed regarding all spa and general club programs and servicesMaintain the cleanliness and neatness of the massage and body treatment areas and spa facilities as directedReport for scheduled shifts promptly and be prepared for workWork cooperatively and professionally with all departmentsPromote and execute effective retail salesProvide appropriate and consistent levels of guest service and hospitalityMaintain personal appearance and grooming standards consistent with the Forbes Five Star StandardsReport any problems incurred immediately to the supervisor on dutyWork diligently to support Southall philosophy throughout the propertyComply with all departmental and company policiesMaintain confidentiality of all Southall proprietary informationPromote positive guest relations by providing prompt, courteous and efficient serviceResolve guest complaints in a manner which promotes positive guest relationsMaintain accurate property information through daily use of email and other forms of communicationPerform additional duties and projects as assigned by Southall LeadershipRequirementsProficient in all components of massage therapy, e.g., anatomy, physiology, body mechanics and various types of massageExcellent personal appearance, good communication skills and a friendly, congenial personality is a mustWeekend work - Sundays requiredAbility to work in a high-volume, busy service environment while maintaining composure and focus on the member and guest.High School diploma or equivalent requiredHave and maintain a current Tennessee state license in massage therapyMinimum one year experience providing massage services in a high-end salon or luxury spa environmentOur BenefitsCompetitive compensation packageGenerous paid time off accruals401k and company matchWeekly payFree weekly outdoor activities and wellness classes30% internal discountsFresh and free daily mealsBountiful internal growth opportunitiesOur TeamAssembled intentionally with dynamic expertise, the Southall team is offered the unique opportunity to learn humbly with, and from, each other.
