Job description
Massage TherapistThe Massage Therapist administers massage therapy and provides quality customer service to clients. This therapist creates an enjoyable atmosphere that promotes member wellness in accordance with YMCA policies and procedures.ScheduleFriday through Monday. Who can take at least 4 appointments per day. Availability is very flexible throughout the day.ResponsibilitiesProvides therapeutic human touch to members and participantsCreate a comfortable and professional environment for members and participantsMaintains equipment in good working condition and performs housekeeping duties to keep massage area cleanObtains and maintains required certification and proper licensing related to massage therapyProvides courteous, prompt, and sincere attention to all members and participantsRespond to and communicates, member concerns, and feedback in a timely mannerFollow and enforce appointment schedule and cancellation policyExcellent customer service skillsEnthusiastic about working as part of a teamEffective communication skillsOther duties as assignedQualifications1+ year's of Massage experience requiredState Board Certification (CAMTC) or local Massage Therapy License requiredAbility to perform all physical aspects of the position including walking, standing, bending, reaching and lifting up to 50 pounds at a timeLicensing, state law and our government funders require that staff within YMCA of San Diego County be fingerprinted, prior to reporting to work, and include subsequent arrest notificationsCPR/AED, and First Aid Certification, must include Adult and Child/Infant, obtained within 30 days of hire and must be from one of the following certifying organizations:American Red CrossAmerican Heart AssociationAmerican Safety & Health InstituteYMCA will consider qualified applicants with a criminal history pursuant to the San Diego County Fair Chance Ordinance and the California Fair Chance Act. You do not need to disclose your criminal history or participate in a background check until a conditional job offer is made to you.
