Steira Air is seeking an experienced and customer-focused Master Residential HVAC Service Technician to join our team in a contract-to-hire role. This position is ideal for a seasoned professional who thrives in residential environments, delivers exceptional customer experiences, and takes pride in both technical excellence and mentorship.

We are looking for a technician with 6-7+ years of hands-on experience , the ability to train and guide others , and the professionalism to represent our brand in customers' homes. Candidates must have their own tools and be available for on-call emergency service rotation .

Key Responsibilities

Diagnose, service, and repair residential HVAC systems with precision and efficiency

Install new heating and air conditioning systems in residential settings

Perform routine preventative maintenance to ensure system performance and longevity

Respond to on-call and emergency service requests , including after-hours as needed

Deliver a high level of customer service , clearly explaining issues and solutions to homeowners

Train and mentor junior technicians to improve overall team capability

Maintain accurate service documentation and communicate effectively with customers and management

Follow all safety standards and company procedures

Qualifications

Minimum 6-7 years of residential HVAC experience

Strong customer service and communication skills -must be comfortable working directly with customers in their homes

Proven ability to train and develop other technicians

Solid understanding of HVAC systems, controls, and wiring diagrams

Excellent troubleshooting and critical thinking abilities

Must have own tools and reliable transportation

Willingness and ability to participate in an on-call rotation for emergency service

Professional, dependable, and self-motivated
