nJob Description
nThe Master Technician plays a critical role in performing advanced diagnostics, repairs, and inspections on Mercedes-Benz vehicles while supporting quality investigations and ensuring all work meets strict manufacturer standards and specifications. This position combines expert technical ability with precise documentation and collaboration with engineering and quality teams in a professional service environment.
nResponsibilities
nnnPerform advanced diagnostics on Mercedes-Benz vehicles, including complex electrical, powertrain, and ADAS systems.

nnCarry out high-quality repairs and thorough inspections on Mercedes-Benz vehicles in accordance with manufacturer guidelines.
n
nnSupport quality investigations by identifying defects, failures, and performance issues across vehicle systems.
n
nnAnalyze and interpret technical data to determine root causes of vehicle issues and recommend appropriate corrective actions.
n
nnDocument all diagnostic steps, repair procedures, and inspection findings in a clear, detailed, and accurate manner.
n
nnProvide comprehensive technical feedback to engineering and quality teams to support continuous product and process improvement.
n
nnEnsure all work consistently meets Mercedes-Benz standards and specifications for safety, performance, and reliability.

nnFollow established service procedures, technical bulletins, and best practices to maintain high repair quality.
n
nnMaintain a clean, organized, and efficient work area that supports safe and effective vehicle service operations.
n
nnCollaborate with service, engineering, and quality personnel to resolve complex vehicle concerns and improve customer satisfaction.

n nEssential Skills
nnnStrong hands-on experience working specifically with Mercedes-Benz vehicles.
n
nnProven diagnostic and troubleshooting skills on modern vehicle systems, including electrical, powertrain, and ADAS.
n
nnExperience working in a dealership, OEM, or high-level service environment.
n
nnAbility to clearly document technical findings, including diagnostic steps, test results, and repair actions.
n
nnDeep familiarity with Mercedes-Benz standards, specifications, and service procedures.
n
nnStrong mechanical and electrical aptitude with the ability to handle complex vehicle technologies.
n
nnAttention to detail and commitment to high-quality, precise work.

n nAdditional Skills & Qualifications
nnnExperience collaborating with engineering and quality teams to support investigations and continuous improvement.

nnAbility to interpret technical manuals, wiring diagrams, and diagnostic software outputs.

n nWork Environment
nThis role operates in a professional automotive service setting focused on Mercedes-Benz vehicles, where advanced diagnostic tools, electronic testing equipment, and manufacturer-specific technologies are used daily. Work is typically performed in a service bay or workshop environment that requires adherence to safety procedures and careful handling of vehicles and equipment. nThis is a Contract position based out of Oceanside, CA.
nPay and Benefits
nThe pay range for this position is $30.00 - $44.00/hr.
nIndividual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
