Materials CoordinatorThe Materials Coordinator is responsible for managing inventory, material flow, warehouse organization, and customer-facing materials activities within a fast-paced sequencing/JIT operation. This role ensures inventory accuracy across multiple customer programs, maintains efficient warehouse layout and material movement, supports SAP inventory transactions, and leads a materials team to meet production and customer requirements. The Materials Coordinator serves as the primary materials contact for customers and plays a critical role in maintaining uninterrupted material flow in a high-volume environment.Key Job ResponsibilitiesLead warehouse organization, layout, and material-flow activities to support safe and efficient operations.Manage inventory accuracy across multiple customer programs.Perform and oversee SAP inventory transactions, adjustments, reconciliations, and related system activities.Coordinate material movement throughout the facility to support production requirements and customer schedules.Serve as the primary materials contact for customers, providing timely communication and issue resolution.Lead, coach, train, and support members of the materials team.Monitor inventory levels, investigate discrepancies, and implement corrective actions to maintain inventory integrity.Coordinate cycle counts and physical inventories to ensure accurate inventory records.Support physical inventory activities during scheduled non-production weekends.Collaborate with operations, production, shipping, receiving, and customer teams to ensure uninterrupted material flow.Maintain compliance with company policies, safety requirements, and customer standards.Support continuous improvement initiatives related to inventory control, warehouse organization, and material handling.Perform other duties as assigned.Core Skills & CompetenciesInventory Control & SAP SystemsInventory management and reconciliationSAP transactions and inventory adjustmentsCycle counting and physical inventory managementData accuracy and attention to detailProblem-solving and root-cause analysisWarehouse Operations & Material FlowWarehouse layout optimizationMaterial handling and movementSequencing and Just-in-Time (JIT) operationsProcess improvement and workflow managementOrganization and prioritizationLeadership & Team DevelopmentTeam leadership and coachingTraining and employee developmentAccountability and performance managementWorkforce coordination and schedulingDecision-making and conflict resolutionCustomer Service & CommunicationCustomer relationship managementProfessional verbal and written communicationCross-functional collaborationIssue escalation and resolutionStakeholder managementSafety & FlexibilityCommitment to workplace safetyAbility to adapt to changing customer and production needsWillingness to support extended operational hours when requiredFlexibility to support inventory activities during non-production weekendsMinimum QualificationsHigh school diploma or GED required; Associate degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, or related field preferred.Three or more years of inventory control, materials coordination, warehouse, logistics, or supply chain experience.Experience using SAP or similar ERP systems for inventory transactions and reporting.Experience leading or coordinating the work of others in a warehouse, manufacturing, sequencing, or logistics environment.Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.Ability to work flexible hours in support of a facility operating up to 20 hours per day.Forklift experience preferred; training available for qualified candidates.Ability to work scheduled non-production weekends to support physical inventory activitiesEqual Employment Opportunity: Hollingsworth provides equal opportunity in employment, maintains a diverse workforce, and prohibits all forms of unlawful discrimination and harassment.
