Job description
Plant Operations & Facility SystemsCoordinate and monitor facility infrastructure and utility systems including:1. Air Conditioning and HVAC systems2. Steams Systems3. Boilers4. Medical Oxygen systems5. Instrumentation and Procedure EquipmentCoordinate preventative maintenance schedules and follow-up activitiesIdentify and communicate facility issues requiring corrective actionAssist in maintaining operational readiness of equipment and systemsMaintenance CoordinationServe as the primary point of contact for maintenance-related activities.Coordinate repair requests and work orders with internal staff and external service providersWork closely with Lillibridge and other contracted vendors to ensure timely completion of maintenance projects and repairs.Track maintenance activities and maintain documentation of completed work.Coordinate and Oversee Supply OrderingMaintain appropriate inventory levels for routine supplies, specialty items, implants, and physician preference itemsEstablish, monitor, and adjust par levels based on case volume, utilization trends, and operational needsPrepare and process purchase orders accurately and timelyReceive incoming shipments and verify packing slips against purchase orders and delivered itemsResolve discrepancies involving orders, backorders, damaged goods, or invoicing issuesResearch vendors and pricing to obtain quality products at the most cost-effective pricingCompile purchasing and inventory data and accurately enter in computer systemsInventory Control/ Supply DistributionMaintain organized storage areas and ensure inventory is properly rotated and securedTrack and manage implant inventory, expiration dates, lot numbers, and required documentationDistribute supplies throughout the facility to ensure departments remain stocked and operationalConduct routine inventory counts and auditsMonitor for shortages and proactively replenish critical suppliesAssist with annual inventory and inventory reconciliationEquipment ManagementCoordinate equipment repairs and maintenance with vendors/service providersTroubleshoot equipment concerns and initiate repair requestsEvaluate equipment replacement/repair needsCoordinate procurement of new equipment and ensure proper documentation and setupTrack preventative maintenance and service recordsStaff Support / CommunicationRespond to staff supply requests in a timely mannerAddress concerns or complaints related to supplies or equipmentCollaborate with staff and physicians to identify supply and equipment needsCommunicate effectively with departments regarding backorders, substitutions, or delays.Support process improvement initiatives related to supply utilization and cost containmentCompliance / QualityMaintain records related to implants, equipment, and purchasing in accordance with regulatory requirementsEnsure compliance with facility policies and accreditation standardsSupport readiness for regulatory inspectionsQualificationsMinimum 1 year of experience in materials management, perioperative services, or ambulatory surgery center operations preferredPrior operating room experience preferredKnowledge of surgical supplies, implants, inventory systems, and purchasing processesUnderstanding of sterile processing and OR workflowStrong organizational and inventory management skillsAbility to analyze pricing and purchasing trendsExcellent communication and problem-solving skillsComputer proficiency including inventory and purchasingAbility to prioritize multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced surgical environmentPhysical RequirementsAbility to stand and walk for extended periodsAbility to lift and move supply boxes/equipment as neededAbility to bend, reach, push, and pull or lift up to 100 poundsAbility to work in clinical and storage environmentsRequirementsMonday - Friday 8:30a-5:00OR Support when available
