Job DescriptionJob DescriptionAdvanced Infrastructure Design Inc. is seeking a Materials Inspector to support transportation and infrastructure construction projects throughout New Jersey and the surrounding region.
This position is suited for candidates with hands-on construction or inspection experience who want to build long-term technical expertise in construction materials inspection.
Position Overview
This position involves hands-on field and laboratory work supporting transportation and infrastructure construction projects throughout the region. We are seeking motivated individuals who take quality seriously and are interested in developing long-term technical skills in construction materials inspection.
Key Responsibilities
Perform field inspection and testing of asphalt, concrete, soils, and aggregates.
Conduct roadway and plant inspections in accordance with project requirements.
Assist with sampling, density testing, and coring coordination as needed.
Accurately document test results, field observations, and daily reports.
Communicate findings clearly with project engineers, project managers, and laboratory staff.
Follow ASTM, AASHTO, and project-specific procedures.
Maintain safety and quality standards on active construction sites.
Qualifications
Prior experience in construction, inspection, or materials testing preferred
Familiarity with asphalt and concrete operations is a plus
Industry certifications such as ACI, NJSAT, NICET, or NJDOT are a plus, not required
Ability to work independently in the field and manage time effectively
Willingness to learn and grow in a technical role
Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to job sites
Basic computer skills for reporting and documentation
Compensation and Benefits
Compensation:
$25–$35 per hour, based on experience
