Locums Maternal-Fetal Medicine - Detroit, Michigan Availability & ContractStart Date: January 1, 2027Initial Coverage: Full-time through approximately January 24, 2027After January: Part-time/recurring coverage approximately twice monthlyRecurring Schedule: In-house Thursday-Friday; Saturday-Sunday callPrimary Location: Detroit, MichiganAdditional Coverage: Potential outpatient-only coverage in Warren, Michigan as neededTuesdays/ThursdaysHalf-day shifts Weekday Hours: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-6:00 PMCall: Weeknight and weekend call coverageWeekend Coverage: RequiredCallback: Very minimal, approximately 1 per call shift, if anyLocum-to-Perm: Candidates interested in locum-to-perm are welcome and given first preference License & CredentialingBoard Certification: RequiredMichigan Medical License: RequiredIMLC: AcceptedBLS: RequiredACLS: Required Clinical DetailsSpecialty: Maternal-Fetal MedicineSetting: Level III NICUInpatient/L&D Volume: 0-5 patients per day; average approximately 2Annual Deliveries: Approximately 3,000Patient Population: High-risk and low-risk obstetric patientsMFM Service: Inpatient consults, maternal-fetal medicine rounding, ultrasound, and high-risk OB clinicUltrasound: 1 sonographer, 1 machine, up to 8 ultrasounds per dayHigh-Risk OB Clinic: Half-day per week; typically 4-7 patientsBeds: 772Reason for Coverage: Provider departure Clinical ResponsibilitiesReview and round on inpatient MFM patients with residentsProvide inpatient and phone consultationsPerform in-person evaluations when clinically neededSupervise residents in high-risk OB clinic as neededInterpret and manage ultrasound services and related consultationsExpected to independently interpret ultrasoundsWeekday in-house coverage for outpatient ultrasound and inpatient consultation needsNight and weekend call coverage, including phone consultationsNo delivery coverage expectedNo GYN surgeryNo GYN call coverage Required ProceduresAmniocentesisCerclage, including rescue cerclageExternal cephalic version (ECV) Preferred ProcedureChorionic villus sampling (CVS) Allow RecruitWell to set up a phone call with you and the client to discuss more!
