We are looking for a full-time faculty member to join the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, specifically within the Maternal Fetal Medicine (MFM) division. Main Responsibilities
Deliver maternal fetal medicine services that include:
High-risk ultrasounds
Prenatal consultations
Antepartum care
Work within the Albany Med Faculty Physician Group and its associated inpatient facilities
Educate and guide medical students, residents, and MFM fellows
Engage in scholarly activities, with chances for regional and national presentations and publications
Qualifications
Board Certified or Board Eligible in Obstetrics and Gynecology (ABOG)
Eligible for New York State medical licensure
Demonstrated clinical expertise with a focus on:
Collaborative, team-oriented care
Independent decision-making capabilities
Commitment to academic and educational excellence
The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology encompasses five clinical divisions: General Obstetrics and Gynecology, Maternal Fetal Medicine, Gynecologic Oncology, Family Planning, and Urogynecology. The department is home to 24 residents and 3 MFM fellows (one per year). The MFM division conducts fetal echocardiography, amniocentesis, chorionic villus sampling, and other advanced procedures.
