Wausau, WI - Locums Maternal & Fetal Medicine Physician Quick SnapshotLocation: Wausau, WisconsinSpecialty: Maternal & Fetal Medicine (MFM)Position Type: LocumsStart Date: 07/20/2026End Date: 12/31/2026Coverage Needed: Full-time preferred; will consider 2 providers splitting coverage (2 weeks/month each) Availability RequirementsClinic Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:00 PMShift Length: 8 hoursCoverage Type: Scheduled clinic hours plus callCall Schedule: Provider covering clinic is on call overnightWeekend Call: IncludedCall Type: Beeper/Phone Consults OnlyResponse Time: 30 minutesHospital Return Required: NoAverage Call Volume: Approximately 1 call per night or less License RequirementsWisconsin license preferred Will consider providers without a Wisconsin license under WI Act 10 Candidates without a license are encouraged to apply Certifications & QualificationsBoard Certified or Board Eligible in Maternal & Fetal Medicine - Required MFM Fellowship - Required BLS Certification - Required Clinical DetailsOutpatient clinic plus phone-call coverageNo procedures requiredOnly one MFM physician on staffInpatient calls come from laborist teamPatient Volume: 20-30 patients per shiftEMR: EpicTrauma Levels: II and III Ideal CandidateFellowship-trained MFM physicianComfortable providing independent clinic coverageAvailable for long-term assignment through December 2026Open to weekday clinic coverage with low-volume phone call responsibilitiesEpic experience preferred Allow RecruitWell to set up a phone call with you and the client to discuss more!
