Job description
Responsibilities
Teaching on-campus courses.
Advising, evaluating, and assisting students.
Required Qualifications
Master’s Degree in mathematics, mathematics teaching, statistics, or a closely related field.
Two years of teaching experience.
Preferred Qualifications
Two years of teaching experience at the college or university level.
Candidate Profile
Good written and oral communication skills.
Ability to relate to and establish rapport with a college student population.
Good judgment and self‑motivation.
Strong interest in student success.
Commitment to quality teaching.
Union / Employment Conditions
Positions with 0.5 FTE or more are represented by the Associated Faculty of Montana State University (AFMSU). Members may choose to pay dues.
Positions with less than 0.5 FTE are not represented by the Union and are not required to pay dues.
Union representational status may change if FTE changes during employment.
Faculty who have completed a PEI exam or who work in Extension are exempt from the Union.
