South Texas Community Living house and serve over 300 individuals with intellectual disabilities statewide in group homes, natural-residential settings, and in the foster care model from six regional satellite offices.This job is perfect for a Direct Support Professional or Caregiver who is looking to make a difference in the lives of others, and still be well compensated for that work! In addition to excellent pay, the Live-In caregiver will have a private master bedroom and bathroom, and utilities and local telephone paid by South Texas Community Living. This is an hourly position with the potential to earn up to $43,420.00 annually with overtime. The ideal Caregiver is fun, clean, mature, dependable, organized, respectful, and patient in challenging situations. This may also be a great opportunity for a student who is taking classes during the day.On the job Training provided!Live-In Hours:Monday – Friday: 6:00AM - 9:00AM and 3:00PM - 8:00PMSaturday – Sunday: 6:00AM - 9:00PMCaregiver Duties include:* Assistance with Grooming and Toileting * Assistance with Meal preparation and Mealtime monitoring * Assistance with Medication Administration * Supervision during recreational activities * House Cleaning (i.e., Sweeping, Mopping, Laundry etc.) * Driving company vehicles * Communication with outside family members and office staff * Specialized DocumentationBenefits:Health Insurance (after 90 days)401K (after 1 year)Vacation (2 weeks after 1 year, 3 weeks after 5 years)QualificationsQualifications:Valid and current Texas Driver's LicenseClear Background CheckClear DMV CheckHigh School Diploma or Equivalent Proof of EducationNo confirmation of Abuse/Neglect/Exploitation of an elderly or disabled personNo history of Medicaid fraud.
