Job Summary
Seeking a Data Scientist to provide advanced discovery and analytic support across mission areas by leveraging machine learning, statistical analysis, and data‑driven techniques to uncover patterns, anomalies, and insights from complex datasets
This role is ideal for candidates with prior experience as an analyst, targeteer, or in discovery‑focused positions, bringing a mission‑oriented mindset to technical problem solving
The Data Scientist operates in a dynamic environment, adapting to new tools, technologies, and evolving mission requirements
Primary Responsibilities
Apply machine learning and statistical analysis techniques to support discovery and mission analysis
Develop analytical prototypes, scripts, and automation tools to enhance data processing and insight generation
Perform data visualization and exploratory analysis to identify patterns, trends, and anomalies
Leverage TechSIGINT tools and datasets to support mission discovery and targeting efforts
Integrate data from multiple sources to support complex analytic workflows
Develop and maintain automation pipelines to improve efficiency and repeatability of analytic processes
Collaborate with analysts, engineers, and mission stakeholders to refine analytic approaches and deliver actionable insights
Rapidly adapt to new tools, technologies, and mission priorities
Document methodologies, findings, and analytic processes
Required Qualifications
Must have active Top Secret/SCI clearance with Full Scope Polygraph (MD Customer)
Master’s Degree with 6 years of relevant experience, Bachelor’s Degree with 8 years of relevant experience, or Associate's Degree with 10 years of in‑depth relevant experience that is clearly related to the position
Experience applying data science techniques, including machine learning, statistical analysis, and data visualization
Proficiency in scripting and automation (e.g., Python or similar languages)
Experience working with large and complex datasets
Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills
Ability to operate in a team‑oriented, mission‑driven environment
Demonstrated adaptability and ability to learn new tools and technologies quickly
Desired Qualifications
Prior experience as an analyst, targeteer, or in discovery‑focused roles
Experience with TechSIGINT tools and mission datasets
Experience developing analytic prototypes and automation solutions
Familiarity with cyber, SIGINT, or intelligence analysis workflows
Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Plotly, Tableau, or similar)
Experience in Intelligence Community (IC) environments
Exempt hourly position. 11 paid holidays, minimum of 3 weeks PTO, company sponsored group medical plan, company paid dental, vision, life insurance, and STD/LTD plans. Salary is dependent upon the candidate’s experience and qualifications.
The pay range for this role is:
135,000 - 180,000 USD per year (Ft. Meade MD)
