Job description
Role Overview: Lead daily department operations in a retail store, ensuring staff training, proper staffing, and compliance with company standards to meet performance goals.
Key Responsibilities: Manage inventory ordering and maintenance, verify received products, oversee stocking and product quality, and ensure adherence to food safety and safety guidelines.
Develop and communicate work schedules, control labor and payroll expenses, and implement company policies using designated tools and software.
Lead staffing, training, performance management, and career development of associates while monitoring department goals and forecasts.
Maintain a clean, well-stocked department aligned with standards, and ensure compliance with food safety and safety regulations.
Participate in meetings, execute weekly plans, and develop strategies to meet key performance indicators.
Qualifications & Skills: High school diploma or GED required; retail experience and supervisory skills preferred. Strong communication, organization, leadership, strategic planning, and retail systems knowledge are essential. Proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and bilingual skills are desirable.
Physical & Other Requirements: Ability to lift up to 30 pounds frequently and 50 pounds occasionally, stand and walk for extended periods, and work in a retail environment with varied temperatures and noise levels. Reasonable accommodations available.
