Job Opportunity at Charles Ross & Son CompanyCharles Ross & Son Company, a leader in the design and manufacture of industrial mixing and blending equipment, is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented full-time Mechanic/Assembler to join our growing team.In this position, you will construct, assemble, and test industrial equipment and components using a variety of tools and equipment. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong mechanical aptitude, a commitment to quality, and the ability to perform work accurately while maintaining close attention to detail.Duties and ResponsibilitiesReview, analyze, and follow blueprints, diagrams, engineering drawings, procedures, and work instructions.Assemble mechanical components, parts, and finished equipment according to specifications.Conduct quality assurance checks to ensure assembled products meet required specifications and quality standards.Identify product defects and assembly issues and document and report them as necessary.Repair and adjust components and equipment to accommodate specification changes and resolve assembly problems.Perform preventative maintenance and routine checks on equipment and tools to ensure proper operation.Complete required quality, production, and other documentation accurately.Monitor and maintain necessary materials and supplies at the workstation.Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.Travel as needed to customer locations to service and support equipment in the field.Perform all work in accordance with established quality and safety standards and procedures.QualificationsAbility to read and interpret blueprints, hand-drawn sketches, engineering drawings, and verbal instructions.Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.Must possess basic personal tools, including wrenches, sockets, dial calipers, and dial indicators.Ability to accurately work with fractional and decimal measurements and perform basic mathematical calculations, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.Ability to perform visual inspections of parts and assemblies.Experience using precision measuring instruments to accurately inspect dimensions.Welding experience with steel and stainless steel is a plus.Ability to troubleshoot mechanical and assembly-related issues.Education and ExperienceHigh school diploma or equivalent required.Trade school certification or an Associate's degree is a plus.Previous experience in a manufacturing or industrial production environment preferred.What We OfferMedical insuranceDental and vision insuranceVacation and PTO policyPaid holidaysPositive and collaborative work environment
