Mechanic | Battle Creek, MI
Salary Range: $48,000 - $80,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

Key Responsibilities
Perform routine maintenance on production machinery.
Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues.
Conduct preventative maintenance inspections and repairs.
Repair and replace defective parts and components.
Maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities.
Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures.
Recommended Qualifications High school diploma or GED
2+ years of experience as a Mechanic in a manufacturing or industrial setting
Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals
Strong understanding of safety protocols and procedures in a manufacturing environment
Bonus Qualifications Experience with PLC-controlled machinery and automation systems.
Familiarity with Six Sigma or other continuous improvement methodologies.
Proficiency in using CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) software.
Ability to perform basic welding and fabrication tasks.
Prior experience training junior mechanics or apprentices.
