Job description
Diesel Shop Mechanic
Pay: $22-$38 HR/DOE | Location: Decatur,AL| Weekly Pay-Per diem offered to Qualified Candidates
We are seeking an experienced Mechanic to maintain, diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair crane-related equipment. This role requires hands-on mechanical expertise across hydraulic, diesel, electrical, and other equipment systems to keep operations safe and reliable. We encourage candidates from surrounding areas including but not limited to Huntsville, AL, Madison, AL and Florence, AL to apply.
Responsibilities:
Perform maintenance and repairs on crane equipment and related machinery.
Diagnose equipment failures and identify effective repair solutions.
Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, hydraulic, diesel, electrical, and air systems.
Complete preventative maintenance and respond to equipment service needs.
Use a full set of personal tools appropriate for journeyman-level mechanical work.
Follow site safety requirements and maintain a professional, dependable work standard.
Requirements:
Journeyman-level mechanic experience
Demonstrated ability to diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic, diesel, electrical, and air-system issues.
Full mechanic tool set required.
Ability to meet background-screening and drug-screen requirements.
Experience with heavy equipment or crane equipment is strongly preferred
