Job description
Summary
Responsible for repairing and maintaining the operation of all City vehicles.
Pay Range: $16.50 - $20.50(Depending on qualifications and experience)
Work Schedule: B shift 9AM to 6PM
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Perform preventative maintenance on city vehicles.
Diagnose and repair city vehicles.
Order necessary parts as needed.
Maintain a clean and orderly Fleet Shop.
Complete work labor and task information.
Minimum Qualifications High School Diploma or General Equivalency Diploma (GED)
2 years related experience
Must own basic hand and air tools
Or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential functions of the job.
Preferred Qualifications
Education/ Experience: 6 months to 1 year advanced training in automotive mechanics
2-4 years experience in automotive shop repair and diagnosis
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: General knowledge of automotive repair and diagnostics
General knowledge of Fleet software processes
Skill in utilizing Shop Key software
Skill in performing preventative maintenance on vehicles
Licenses and Certifications
Must obtain 1 ASE Certification within one year of hire
