nResponsibilities:
nnnEssential responsibilities include but are not limited to:
n
nnSet up all automatic, semi-automatic and hand operated machines so that all products produced will meet all quality specifications.
n
nnMaintain all machinery as required.
n
nnMake all repairs to machines and notify proper personnel of necessary major repair.
n
nnExamine machines for defects, dismantle and repair as necessary.
n
nnCreate work orders and notifications and close PM work orders on time after completing PM tasks.
n
nnPerform preventive maintenance as dictated by the maintenance planner/Team Leader as scheduled.
n
nnInstruct operators concerning proper methods for the purpose of attaining maximum quality and quantity production in a professional manner.
n
nnWork with engineering in making recommendations for modifying equipment.
n
nnSchedule work and requisition material as required.
n
nnAssist in training new personnel in all jobs in the department as required.
n
nnAssist team leader in planning and controlling the quality and quantity of production. Responsible for: Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost and Talent.
n
nnActively participates as a team member with operators, utilities and all other personnel working in assigned area.
n
nnResponsible for quality of product after machine repairs. Ensures product quality meets specifications and proper documentation is completed.
n
nnResponsible for informing Shift Leader of machine problems or other causes of production stoppages.
n
nnLearn all quality inspections.
n
nnObserve all plant safety standards and perform job safety analysis. Must know and follow Lock Out procedures and Safety Key Interrupt procedures.
n
nnRoutinely check with operators on equipment in a proactive manner for any quality or operational issues.
n
nnWork with limited supervision.
n
nnPerforms other duties as assigned by Shift Leader and required to support the needs of the business.
n
nnMust maintain regular, punctual attendance.
n
n nExperience & Education:
nnnHighschool diploma or GED required.
n
nnVocational/Technical or associate degree (mechanical) preferred.
n
nnOne (1) year of previous mechanical experience or equivalent required.
n
n nKnowledge, Skills & Abilities:
nRequired:
nnnMust be able to read, write and speak English.
n
nnBasic computer keyboard & navigational skills including Microsoft Office.
n
nnStrong mechanical aptitude with basic mechanical knowledge and skill.
n
nnProven knowledge of basic mechanical drive systems and components including but not limited to:
n
nncam motions
n
nnintermittent motion indexers
n
nngear drive transmissions
n
nnprime movers - electrical motors, etc.
n
nnrobots
n
nnbearings and bushings - repair and replacement
n
nntiming and synchronization of mechanical drive trains
n
nnBasic electrical and electronic knowledge sufficient to troubleshoot problems and assist electronic technician in repairs
n
nnAbility to understand valve diagrams
n
nnBasic leadership skills to perform incidental supervision
n
nnProven problem solving and decision-making skills
n
nnWell-developed verbal and written communication skills
n
nnWell-developed planning and organizational skills.
n
n nPreferred:
nnnUnderstanding of pneumatic systems including:
n
nnFluidic and pneumatic components (valves, cylinders, control devices, regulators, flow controls, etc.
n
nnStrong understanding of mechanical and electrical vibratory feed systems with the ability to repair.
n
