About the Role:
Adams Tree Service in Northampton, PA is looking for a skilled Mechanic to keep our fleet running strong. Responsibilities:
Perform routine maintenance and repairs on company vehicles, trucks, and equipment
Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues on fleet and tree care equipment
Conduct preventive maintenance inspections to minimize downtime
Repair and maintain chainsaws, chippers, stump grinders, and aerial lift equipment
Maintain accurate service records and maintenance logs
Order and manage parts and shop inventory as needed
Ensure all equipment meets safety and compliance standards
Requirements:
Proven experience as a mechanic, preferably with heavy equipment or fleet vehicles
Ability to diagnose and repair diesel and gasoline engines
Experience with hydraulic systems is a strong plus
Familiarity with tree care or landscaping equipment preferred
Must have own basic hand tools
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
Valid driver's license required; CDL a plus
