nJob Summary
nThe Mechanic/Vehicle Technician will diagnose and repair gasoline engines and other powertrain components, hydraulic brakes, steering and suspension systems, electrical systems, and diesel emission systems.
nHours and Wages
nnMonday-Friday Flexible start time between 12:00PM-3:00PM
n$20.00-$33.00 per hour, based on experiencenn+$2.00 per hour shift differential
n n
nOccasional Saturdays, as needed for full-time
nPaid OT at time and a half after 40 hours per week
nPart-time opportunities available with flexible options
n nDuties and Responsibilities
nnAbility to use scan tool and laptop technology
nFollow reasonable instructions from shift leader
nAbility to work independently and/ or with team
nPerform routine truck inspections and maintenance of fleet equipment
nHelp maintain an effective and clean work environment
nMust have own tools or ability to obtain own tools to complete all job functions
nPerform other related duties as assigned
n nSkills and Abilities
nnWelding and torch experience is a plus but not required
nAbility to operate a manual transmission vehicle or be willing to learn
n nEducation and Experience
nnAt least 18 years of age
nHigh school diploma or equivalent preferred
n2 years technical instruction in diesel or auto mechanics is preferred
n nPhysical Requirements
nnAbility to lift up to 75 pounds
nAbility to pass a DOT physical exam
nMust be able to spend a minimum of eight hours on feet
nWork environment involves ability to bend, kneel, crouch, walk, and drive
nWork environment may involve hazards such as diesel exhaust, brake dust, grease, antifreeze, and other elements associated with vehicle repair
