Mechanical AssemblerDoherty Staffing Solutions is hiring Mechanical Assemblers for a leading packaging machinery manufacturing company in Alexandria, MN. In this role, you'll help build and assemble innovative automated machinery while working closely with engineering, production, and customer teams. If you enjoy hands-on mechanical work, troubleshooting equipment, and building complex machines, this could be a great career opportunity.Perform mechanical, pneumatic, and some electrical assembly operations on packaging machineryRead and interpret assembly drawings while adhering to customer specifications and quality standardsFit, align, and adjust machine components to ensure proper machine operationInstall and maintain mechanical systems including lube lines, gearboxes, motors, chains, sprockets, and drive linesAssist with machine testing, final adjustments, and checkout processesSupport customer installation, startup, and training activities for machinery and systemsBecome forklift certified and safely operate equipment as needed2-year technical degree and 2-4 years of mechanical assembly experience preferredStrong mechanical aptitude and willingness to develop electrical skillsProven mechanical troubleshooting and problem-solving abilitiesAbility to read and follow assembly drawings and technical documentationProfessional communication skills with a positive attitude and team-oriented mindsetLeadership potential and ability to motivate and collaborate with othersStrong organizational, planning, and interpersonal skillsEnjoy weekly pay, access to health coverage options through Benefits in a Card (including preventative and minimum value plans), and temp-to-hire opportunities for long-term stability where applicable.
