Don't miss out – apply today and start your journey with Team Apex!Job SummaryThe Mechanical Assembler will work hands-on with a variety of custom water treatment, process, and specialty equipment designed and built for our customers. They will use technical drawings and P&IDs to install piping, pumps, valves, sensors, and other mechanical components, gaining exposure to complete equipment builds from assembly through testing. This is a great opportunity for someone with strong mechanical aptitude who enjoys working with their hands, solving problems, and building something different from project to project. The Mechanical Assembler will develop valuable technical skills while working alongside an experienced team, with opportunities for cross-training and career growth as time goes on!Essential Job Responsibilities:Read and interpret Process & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs), General Arrangement (GA) Drawings, and Production PrintsInstall mechanical components (i.e. pumps, valves, sensors, etc.) per designInstall mechanical piping (may consist of PVC, CPVC, PE, PVDF, PFA, etc.) to and from various components on a skid or within a process tool per designAssist with factory acceptance testing of equipmentClean and maintain work areasWork hours necessary to support Company demandCrosstrain and assist with training others, as requiredAdhere to and support all safety policies and guidelinesPerform other duties as assignedRequired Qualifications:High school diploma or equivalentStrong mechanical aptitudeAbility to read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical drawingsSix (6) months of experience installing mechanical components and piping or related experienceExceptional work ethic, "can-do" attitude and team playerAbility and willingness to learn, understand and support Apex's quality objectivesAbility to communicate effectively with customers, vendors and colleaguesAbility to work independently with minimal instruction/supervision and effectively plan, organize and execute own activitiesAbility to lift and move 50 pounds of material unassistedFlexibility, adaptability, and ability to work well under pressure and within changing environmentsAbility and willingness to wear personal protective equipment necessary for job duties performedWilling to crosstrain as neededCompensation & Benefits: The anticipated pay range for this position is between $22 - $26/hr, depending on qualifications and experience.
