Job description
Mechanical AssemblerThis role involves assembling mechanical components, performing general production tasks, and supporting warehouse and inventory operations as needed. You will work in a clean, climate-controlled manufacturing facility, using your hands-on skills and strong attention to detail to ensure high-quality assemblies and parts preparation. The position offers opportunities to learn, grow, and gain experience in both mechanical assembly and warehouse functions such as kitting and forklift operation.ResponsibilitiesClean parts and components as needed to prepare them for assembly or further processing.Perform general production and mechanical assembly duties according to work instructions and quality standards.Use basic mechanical skills and tools to assemble parts and subassemblies accurately and efficiently.Support the warehouse and inventory department when needed by performing kitting activities and organizing parts for production.Operate a forklift in the warehouse area when trained and authorized, following all safety procedures.Inspect work for accuracy and quality, applying strong attention to detail throughout the assembly process.Follow all safety guidelines, work instructions, and standard operating procedures within the manufacturing facility.Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet production goals and complete tasks on schedule.Remain open to learning new tasks, processes, and equipment as required by production needs.Essential SkillsStrong attention to detail in all aspects of assembly and production work.Willingness to learn new tasks, processes, and tools.Previous manufacturing or hands-on experience in a production, mechanical, or similar environment.Basic mechanical skills and comfort working with tools and equipment.Ability to perform mechanical assembly tasks accurately and consistently.Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and standard operating procedures.Reliability and willingness to work mandatory overtime when required, including Saturdays.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience in electrical assembly or mechanical assembly.Skillset in HVAC, production, construction, automotive technology, or similar hands-on trades.Experience in quality control within a manufacturing environment.Experience working in a warehouse or inventory department.Experience with kitting activities, including organizing and preparing parts for production.Forklift experience or willingness to be trained on forklift operation.Why Work Here?You will join a growing organization with a strong reputation in the industry and a clear path for continued expansion over the next several years. The site includes both production and warehouse areas, with exposure to mechanical and electrical assembly operations as well as inventory and kitting activities. You will work on a structured shift schedule, with daylight hours from 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. and second shift hours from 2:00 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. Overtime is mandatory on Saturdays and is typically a 5-hour day. Second shift receives a shift differential. The environment emphasizes safety, organization, and professionalism, with appropriate work attire suitable for a manufacturing and warehouse setting.Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Charleroi, PA.Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $24.00 - $26.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
