Break down assembly drawings and specifications, and plan the successive steps of fabricating and assembling mechanical parts and unitsAssemble parts according to print including fitment, alignment and adjustment. Ensuring mechanisms are free from binding or interference and function properly, and diagnosis and repair of improper mechanical assembly or operationPerform all duties in a safe manner; support all safety and environmental rules and environmental initiativesParticipate in initiatives to provide ongoing continuous improvement ideas for products, process, and proceduresWork in other areas of the factory as may be requiredPerform other duties as assignedPlease note: this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties, or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job. It is expected that this role will perform other duties as assigned.Requirements:This role is pivotal in supporting production efforts. The individual in this position must have a high degree of integrity, resourcefulness, and professionalism in working with colleagues and clients. Relationship building, customer service, and the ability to follow up in a timely manner are critical for success. The ideal candidate will have relative experience, excellent communication and time management skills, and manufacturing aptitude.Minimum of two (2) years of relative experience required, preferably in a manufacturing environmentMinimum education of a high school diploma or its equivalent; vocational (or higher) education in a related field preferred; a combination of education and experience can be consideredUnderstanding of the manufacturing industry is essentialMust have a working knowledge and be proficient in reading blue prints, measurements, and tolerancesWork environment (Position / % of time per day or frequency): Walking / Occasional Standing / Frequent Sitting / Occasional Twisting, turning, and Squatting / Occasional Climbing / Occasional (stepladder) Hand Tools, Power Tools, Pneumatic Tools / Frequent Pulling, Pushing / Up to 150 lbs.
