Job description
Mechanical AssemblerThe primary role of the mechanic is to receive and inspect dealer-supplied chassis, manage key and vehicle assignment duties, and coordinate all chassis control functions, including Suspension Programs such as Monroe and Liquid Spring.ResponsibilitiesCoordinate the suspension programs including Liquid Spring.Work closely with the Mounting Supervisor to manage all modification duties.Assist with the welding certification program, including conducting welding certification tests as requested.Establish and maintain cooperative working relationships.Receive and inspect dealer-supplied chassis.Manage key and vehicle assignment duties, ensuring smooth coordination of all chassis control functions.Work with minimal supervision and perform other duties as requested, directed, or assigned.Essential SkillsValid Ohio driver's license.Fundamental use of various pneumatic and power tools.Familiarity with the safe operation of tools such as drills, screw guns, sanders, and jig saws.Ability to analyze and evaluate situations.Effective interaction with various personnel levels and functional areas.Ability to set work priorities and work independently in the absence of supervision.Proficiency in English communication, both verbal and written.Attention to detail and ability to follow written and verbal instructions.Additional Skills & QualificationsOne year of experience in a manufacturing environment.High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred.Ability to perform critical analysis.Capability to read, write, comprehend, and verbally communicate simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos in English.Why Work Here?Join a supportive and collaborative work environment where professional growth is encouraged. Personal protective equipment such as safety glasses, face shields, ear plugs, work gloves, and steel toe shoes are recommended or required on the production floor. The role requires standing, walking, handling objects, reaching, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and occasionally lifting up to 40 pounds. Specific vision abilities such as close vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception are necessary.Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Grove City, OH.Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $20.00 - $28.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
