Mechanical AssemblerNow hiring for a Mechanical Assembler Location: Houston, TX Pay Rate: $20.50 per hour Schedule: 8 AM – 5 PM | 1st Shift Put the Pieces Together. Build Something Bigger. This opportunity is based on a Skilled Assembler career path and is being offered by Staffmark to qualified candidates.Education RequirementsHigh school diploma or GED preferred.Technical or vocational training in manufacturing, assembly, or electrical systems is a plus.Ability to read and follow work instructions, drawings, and bills of material.Experience Requirements1+ year of mechanical assembly, electrical assembly, or manufacturing experience required.Previous quality control or quality inspection experience preferred.Experience using hand tools, power tools, torque tools, and measuring instruments.Ability to work safely and efficiently in a production environment.Preferred QualificationsStrong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.Ability to identify assembly defects and quality concerns.Experience interpreting blueprints, assembly drawings, and production documentation.Knowledge of 5S, workplace safety practices, and continuous improvement principles.Strong teamwork, communication, and problem-solving skills.Physical CapabilitiesAbility to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds.Frequent standing, walking, bending, reaching, and repetitive hand movements.Ability to safely use hand and power tools throughout the shift.Must wear steel-toe boots and required PPE.Casual work environment; company uniforms provided.Job DutiesAssemble products according to approved work instructions, drawings, and supervisor direction.Install hardware, panels, doors, seals, insulation, cable supports, and brackets.Verify parts and materials before installation and report discrepancies.Perform quality inspections for fit, alignment, torque, fastening, and workmanship.Complete production records, labels, checklists, and traceability documentation.Follow all safety procedures, including PPE requirements and lockout/tagout practices.Maintain a clean and organized workstation using 5S standards.Support material handling, rework, repairs, packaging, and other production activities as needed.BenefitsCompetitive Weekly PayComprehensive Benefits including medical, dental, and vision coverage.Life Insurance and Disability Insurance for added peace of mind.Optional 401(k) Plan to help you prepare for the future.Safety-Focused Manufacturing Environment with opportunities for advancement and skill development.A Solid Start to Gain Experience.About UsAt Staffmark, we connect hardworking people with great companies, creating opportunities that make a lasting impact.
