Mechanical Assembler IIThe Electrification & Automation (EA) Business Unit offers the full range of energy distribution systems and solutions for all markets and through all sales channels. We provide reliable power distribution grids of today while investing in our Future Grids portfolio to create the power distribution grid of the future.We are looking for Mechanical Assemblers Level II to join our Knightdale facility. As a Mechanical Assembler you will be responsible for the building and assembling of Low and Medium Voltage Electrical Distribution Equipment, such as Switchgears, Switchboards and Breakers.Shift Hours: 6:00am - 2:30pmHourly Rate: $20.36You'll win us over by having the following qualifications:2+ year of experience in mechanical assembly or a related mechanical field.1+ years of experience working with standard hand and power tools, both pneumatic and battery operatedKnowledge of torque wrench and applied torque valuesExperience with using a tape measure and other measuring devicesAble to Identify mechanical parts and electrical componentsAbility to occasionally lift parts or sub-assemblies weighing up to 50 lbs.Basic proficiency in English, including reading, writing, and speaking.Applicants must be legally authorized for employment within the United States without the need for current or future employer - sponsored work authorization.You'll make an impact by:Assemble, sub-assemblies, parts kits, and aftermarket parts orders, including mechanical assembly of steel components.Record job transactions, read BOMs, follow layouts and assembly drawings.Set and use torque wrenches correctly, adhering to developed processes and seeking ways to improve.Adherence to Environmental and Occupational Health and Safety policies, with a commitment to continuous improvement and be a strong team player.Perform miscellaneous duties as assigned by the Supervisor or Management.About Siemens: We are a global technology company focused on industry, infrastructure, transport, and healthcare.
