Mechanical Assembler IIIThe Electrification & Automation (EA) Business Unit offers the full range of energy distribution systems and solutions for all markets and through all sales channels. We provide reliable power distribution grids of today while investing in our Future Grids portfolio to create the power distribution grid of the future.We are looking for Mechanical Assemblers III for our LV/MV assembly Integration team. This position will be based in Knightdale, NC. Shift Hours: 7:00am - 3:30pm. Hourly Rate: Level III: $22.46.Basic Qualifications:3+ years of experience in mechanical assembly or a related mechanical field.3+ years of experience working with standard hand and power tools, both pneumatic and battery operatedKnowledge of torque wrench and applied torque valuesExperience with using a tape measure and other measuring devicesAble to Identify mechanical parts and electrical componentsAbility to occasionally lift parts or sub-assemblies weighing up to 50 lbs.Basic proficiency in English, including reading, writing, and speaking.Applicants must be legally authorized for employment within the United States without the need for current or future employer - sponsored work authorization.Preferred Qualifications:High School Diploma or GEDSAP experienceSalesforce experienceYou'll make a difference by:Assemble, sub-assemblies, parts kits, and aftermarket parts orders, including mechanical assembly of steel components.Record job transactions, read BOMs, follow layouts and assembly drawings.Set and use torque wrenches correctly, adhering to developed processes and seeking ways to improve.Adherence to Environmental and Occupational Health and Safety policies, with a commitment to continuous improvement and be a strong team player.Perform miscellaneous duties as assigned by the Supervisor or Management.Siemens offers a variety of health and wellness benefits to our employees.
