Mechanical Assembler IVSalary Range $25.00 - $30.00 Hourly Position Type Full Time Education Level High School Travel Percentage None Category ManufacturingSummary:Assembly of mechanical housings, systems and hardware for both stand-alone products and products containing printed circuit board assemblies. Primary work is conducted while standing utilizing hand tools (powered and manual), machinery or applicable materials.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Read, interpret and follow basic blueprints, diagrams, engineering drawings, specifications, bills of materials, and other written instructions or procedures to accurately assemble equipment and productsUtilize hand held tools such as a hand held screw and drill gunMaintain inventory of product in work stationsPerform quality work checks to ensure the product meets quality standardsIdentify product defects and complete appropriate documentation when defects are identifiedRework and/or repair assembled equipment and products according to engineering specification changesAdhere to all requirements and Board Handling.Use of Moisture Sensitive Device (MSD) handling requirements based on the components' moisture sensitive levels (MSL).Read and interpret assembly instructions, drawings and work instruction processes.Identify hardware, wire assemblies, sheet metal and plastic components.Work with miniature to large components that may require visual magnification.Integrate electronic assemblies and cables into mechanical housings.Use various hand tools (pliers, rulers, cutters and pneumatic tools such as torque drivers, torque wrenches and screwdrivers).Support and follow all ISO standards related to NEO Tech's various Quality Management Systems. These systems may include, but are not limited to, quality, the environment, health, safety and security.Support all corporate and site 6S objectives.Perform all other duties, as assigned.Job Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:Ability to utilize electronic manufacturing systemKnowledge of IPC-DVD-64C Component Identification preferredAbility to train to IPC-A-610Sense of urgency, successful at meeting deadlinesQualifications:Ability to work on multiple tasks using a wide range of procedures with mid-level complexity.Ability to support 3 or more product lines / customerReceives little supervision on daily work or routine situations and general instructions on newly introduced assignments.4-6+ years related experience.Basic knowledge of operational procedures and tools obtained through work experience or vocation or technical certificatePerform general physical activitiesMust be able to stand for up to 8 hoursMonitor processes, materials and surroundingsSpend time making repetitive hand motionMechanical aptitude/dexterity and the ability to lift up to 35 lbsDue to ITAR and / or CUI compliance, this position requires candidates to be a U.S. Citizen.Benefits Offered: Comprehensive benefit package including medical, dental and vision coverage; company-paid basic life/AD&D insurance, short-term and long-term disability insurance; voluntary supplemental insurances, flexible spending accounts and employee assistance program (EAP).
