Mechanical Assembly TechnicianNorth Charleston, SCPay: $22.00/hr - $24.00/hr StartingPay Increase: Additional $1/hr after 120 daysShift: 1st shift 6:00AM - 2:30PM 2nd Shift | 2:30 PM - 11:00 PMAboutA global leader in telecommunications and electrical protection solutions, providing innovative products that support critical communication infrastructure.Position OverviewWe are seeking skilled Electrical Assembly Technicians to join its growing manufacturing team. This role is ideal for candidates with electrical wiring or wire harness experience who enjoy hands-on assembly work and take pride in producing high-quality products. You'll be responsible for assembling electrical and mechanical components that support telecommunications systems used around the world.Key ResponsibilitiesAssemble electrical and mechanical components using hand and power tools.Perform wiring, crimping, fastening, soldering, and component installation.Mount transformers, resistors, capacitors, integrated circuits, and other electrical components.Route and connect wiring according to blueprints and schematics.Install completed assemblies into enclosures, cabinets, and finished products.Perform quality inspections to ensure products meet specifications and standards.Gather materials and components based on work orders and parts lists.Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.QualificationsExperience with electrical wiring, cable assembly, or wire harness assembly.Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and assembly drawings.Experience using hand tools and power tools, including drills, torque tools, wrenches, and ratchets.Mechanical and/or electronic assembly experience in a manufacturing environment.Ability to accurately read a tape measure and follow detailed assembly instructions.Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.Ability to lift up to 50 lbs as needed.Reliable attendance and ability to work in a fast-paced production environment.Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of North Charleston, SC.Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $22.00 - $22.00/hr.Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
