Mechanical AssemblerLocation: Salt Lake City, Utah Type: Contract To Hire Contractor Work Model: OnsitePosition Summary: The Mechanical Final Assembler is responsible for the mechanical and structural assembly of rail vehicles in accordance with technical drawings, specifications, and production schedules. This role requires precision, teamwork, and adherence to safety and quality standards.Key Responsibilities:Assemble equipment, sub-assemblies, and vehicle structures according to engineering drawings and specificationsRead and interpret blueprints, diagrams, engineering drawings, and bills of materialsPerform inspections to ensure adherence to quality and safety standardsUse hand and power tools in alignment with assembly instructionsCollaborate with team members to meet production goals and deadlinesMaintain a clean, organized, and safe work environmentRequired Qualifications:High School Diploma or GEDAbility to read and interpret technical documents and engineering drawingsStrong mechanical aptitude and attention to detailManual dexterity and ability to work with toolsCommitment to workplace safety and team collaborationPreferred Qualifications:IPC or related industry certificationsMinimum 2 years of experience in mechanical or structural assemblyFamiliarity with lean manufacturing or Kaizen principlesAbility to perform quality inspections based on technical documentationExperience in the rail, aerospace, or automotive manufacturing industryWork Environment:Manufacturing shop floor environmentStanding, bending, lifting (up to 50 lbs) regularlyPPE required (provided by employer)System One, and its subsidiaries including Joulé and Mountain Ltd., are leaders in delivering outsourced services and workforce solutions across North America.
