Job TitleJob Summary: Assemble seats of particular product group from drawings and assembly instructions, using assembly fixtures and power bench tools. Fit and align assemblies, recognize defective parts, inspect and test final assemblies on a variety of assembly operations.Essential Duties:Follow instructions from more senior builders using drawings and job order documentation to assemble and verify correct product configuration.Packaging product per specifications.Perform a variety of assembly operations.Confirm that all safety procedures and practices are followed.Suggest process method improvements.Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas.Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:Strong mechanical aptitudeStrong spatial reasoning skillsAble to count accuratelyGood verbal and written communication skills in fluent EnglishAbility to work well with othersAble to recognize types of fasteners used in assemblyAbility to distinguish between colorsPart number identificationAbility to follow directionComputer skills preferredPhysical Demands:Ability to lift 40 pounds from floor to waist occasionallyAbility to lift 65 pounds from waist to chest occasionallyAbility to lift 20 pounds from chest to overhead frequentlyAbility to carry 30 pounds, 3 feet, occasionallyAbility to push 200 pounds on a wheeled cart for 40 feet occasionallyAbility to pull 60 pounds on a wheeled cart for 50 feet occasionallyAbility to stand for prolonged periods of timeGood hand/finger dexterity requiredAbility to handle repetitive motionAbility to reach above shoulders, crouch, bend at the waist, and climb an A-frame ladderRequirements:High School Diploma or GED1-year work experience in a role that required the use of tools for mechanical tasksPrior manufacturing assembly experience, preferred
