Mechanical AssemblerExpress is looking for a Mechanical Assembler for Approx. 6 months.Full-time, 1st shift 6am-2:30pm$17-22 (based on experience)The Mechanical Assembler is responsible for assembling mechanical components according to blueprints & work instructions. A successful candidate will have a strong mechanical background to help build, test, & inspect power winches, reducers, & rigging equipment that will be used in a variety of applications such as mines, construction, barge sites, & theaters.Job Duties:Assemble product according to blueprints, ensuring that parts are manufactured correctly & fit properly when putting product together.Assemble & set gearsSquare up fitments to press seals & bearingsSetting brakes on the gearTapping threadsChecking seals & looking for oil leaksBasic knowledge of electrical wiring (knowledge of pneumatics is a plus)Must have ability to problem solve & trouble shoot problems both independently & part of a teamMust have knowledge & ability to use a variety of hand & power tools; calipers & micrometersEnsure that parts/products meet quality standards by following guidelines to measure, test, & inspect the productManage inventoryLabeling & locating partsPicking parts to fill kits or binsDelivering parts to work areasRecording & communicating inventory levels
