Mechanical AssistantPay: $21-$24 DOE | Location: Montgomery, AL | Weekly Pay | Full BenefitsWe are seeking a dependable Mechanical Assistant to join our warehouse production team. In this role, you will assist with assembling mechanical parts and components, preparing materials for production, and supporting the fabrication process. The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, enjoys working with their hands, and takes pride in producing quality work in a fast-paced warehouse environment.Job DutiesAssist with the assembly of mechanical parts, components, and equipment according to work instructions and blueprints.Prepare and organize materials, hardware, and tools for daily production.Operate basic hand tools, power tools, and measuring devices safely and accurately.Help fabricate, modify, and package mechanical assemblies for shipment.Inspect completed parts for quality, accuracy, and proper fit.Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.Load, unload, and move materials throughout the warehouse as needed.Track inventory of parts and notify supervisors when supplies need replenishing.Follow all company safety policies and standard operating procedures.Perform other warehouse and production duties as assigned.Requirements:Minimum 2 years of Assembly experienceWrapping and packaging assembled productsAbility to read and count accuratelyComplete tasks as assigned by the site supervisorPerform all tasks in a timely manner under minimal supervisionMust be able to follow both verbal and written instructionsComplete all assignments requiring physical activity for a full shiftWork all hours assigned.Must be authorized to work in the United StatesMust have a Valid driver's license and dependable transportationMust pass drug screen and all required background checks.What we offer:Medical insuranceVision insuranceDental insuranceLife insuranceShort-term disability insuranceAll employees must have proper PPE hard hat, work boots, safety vest, safety glasses and work gloves.All SLS employees are required to comply with our Substance Abuse Prevention Policy as a condition of employment.
