About The Role

As a Mechanical Design Engineer at ZT Systems, you will play a key role in the design and validation of mechanical assemblies used in our high-performance computer servers. This position is ideal for a proactive problem-solver who thrives in a collaborative environment and is excited about innovative, large-scale hardware development.

Key Responsibilities

Design and develop innovative mechanical components and assemblies.

Create 3D-printed prototypes to support iterative design and testing.

Direct and coordinate manufacturing and field installation or retrofit activities.

Analyze technical issues and implement timely, cost-effective solutions.

Generate engineering documents including drawings, manuals, and other technical deliverables.

Collaborate closely with cross-functional engineering teams.

Interface directly with customers and suppliers to define mechanical requirements.

Support time-sensitive development initiatives alongside systems and development engineering teams.

Contribute to strategic initiatives for process, quality, and cost improvements.

Qualifications And Skills

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.

8+ years of professional experience in mechanical and structural design.

Familiarity with materials including metals, alloys, and plastics.

Experience designing for high-volume manufacturing (e.g., stamping, injection molding, sheet metal, die-cutting).

Proficiency with Creo is highly preferred; experience with other 3D CAD systems will be considered.

Skilled in DFM, DFA, and statistical tolerance analysis.

Experience with structural FEA (e.g., Creo Simulate) is a plus.

Knowledge of computer hardware industry is desirable.

Ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

Strong collaboration, communication, and adaptability skills.
