Job description
MECHANICAL DESIGN ENGINEER – HVAC
Established engineering firm is seeking a Mechanical Designer Engineer to support the design and delivery of commercial building mechanical systems from concept through construction.
Design HVAC systems, ductwork, hydronic piping, equipment and controls
Develop detailed construction drawings and plans using Revit
Perform HVAC sizing, load calculations and equipment selections
Coordinate mechanical designs with architectural, electrical and plumbing disciplines
Conduct field investigations and occasional construction site visits
Support submittal reviews and construction-phase services
Apply applicable codes, standards and project requirements
Requirements:
3+ years of progressive mechanical/HVAC design experience
Revit & AutoCAD experience
Experience with load-calculation software
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (BSME) or equivalent
Healthcare project experience preferred, not required
Strong understanding of building mechanical systems and construction documents
FE/ Engineer in Training (EIT) desired
Must be a US Citizen or Green Card holder
