Job description
Primary Responsibilities
*Lead and manage mechanical design engineering activities for custom automation equipment and machinery.
*Design and develop complex mechanical systems involving robotics, servo motion, machine vision, and automated equipment.
*Provide engineering leadership, mentorship, and technical guidance to design teams.
*Perform structural analysis, FEA simulations, and design validations.
*Create and review detailed mechanical drawings, assemblies, and documentation.
*Apply GD&T principles and ensure compliance with ASME Y14.5 drafting standards.
*Collaborate with manufacturing teams on mechanical assembly, testing, and design improvements.
*Manage CAD design processes using SolidWorks, SolidWorks PDM, and AutoCAD.
*Support continuous improvement initiatives for machine design, reliability, and performance.
Required Qualifications
*Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
*5+ years of experience in custom machine design and automation systems.
*3+ years of engineering leadership or team management experience.
*Strong experience with FEA and structural analysis.
*Proficiency in SolidWorks, SolidWorks PDM, and AutoCAD.
*Strong knowledge of GD&T and mechanical drafting standards (ASME Y14.5).
*Hands-on mechanical assembly and troubleshooting experience.
*Strong problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills.

*Weldments and mechanical assemblies
*Linear guidance systems
