We work with restaurants, cafes, and major national chains across the city, and we're growing our design team.
The Role
We're looking for a Mechanical Engineer who knows shop drawings inside and out and wants to grow into fire suppression design. You'll produce floor plans and mechanical drawings for commercial kitchen projects, working from field sketches and measurements through to filing-ready plans. Join site visits to survey spaces and take measurements when needed
Revise drawings based on reviewer comments and resubmit for approval
Coordinate with our drafters, expediters, installers, and outside engineers/architects
Learn fire suppression system design (NFPA 96, UL-300, wet chemical systems) and take on suppression drawings over time

Strong floor plan and mechanical drafting skills
Proficiency in AutoCAD (add Revit or other software if needed)
Working knowledge of NYC building codes or DOB processes is a plus
