Job description
Mechanical Inspector Level IIHoltec International is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Mechanical Inspector Level II. This role is responsible for performing receipt and in-process inspections on materials purchased by Holtec or supplied by customers for use in fabrication. The Mechanical Inspector ensures compliance with applicable specifications, purchase orders, and quality requirements through inspection, documentation, and reporting activities.Location: Orrville, OHPrimary Responsibilities:Perform receipt and in-process inspections on materials used in fabricationDocument and record inspection results accurately and report findings as requiredMaintain adherence to all safety procedures and guidelines at all timesKeep work area clean, organized, and in orderly conditionUtilize inspection tools and equipment such as calipers, scales, micrometers, go/no-go gauges, thread gauges, and tape measuresVerify calibration status of inspection and measuring equipment prior to useEnsure inspection, examination, and test procedures are approved and properly followedAssist production with setup of materials and components for receipt inspectionReview Certified Material Test Reports (CMTRs) and verify conformance to purchase order requirementsRecord time and inspection activities on appropriate formsPerform audits and surveillances as required by managementRequirements:High school diploma or equivalent requiredMinimum of 1 year of experience performing dimensional inspections requiredExperience using inspection tools such as calipers, scales, micrometers, go/no-go gauges, thread gauges, and tape measures requiredUnderstanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) requiredStrong attention to detail and commitment to quality standardsAbility to follow written procedures and work instructionsAbility to maintain safety compliance at all timesAbility to work in a manufacturing environment and maintain organized work areasBasic computer skills for documentation and reportingA Generation Ahead by Design™ Investing in people who power the future.
