Payrate $22/hr
The Experienced Mechanical Installer assembles, installs, aligns, and secures mechanical components, frames, stations, pods, equipment supports, and related systems. This is a highly physical position requiring mechanical ability, accuracy, safe tool use, and the stamina to remain active throughout the workday.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Assemble and install mechanical components, frames, stations, pods, supports, panels, and related equipment.
Read and follow work instructions, assembly drawings, measurements, layouts, and supervisor direction.
Use hand and power tools safely, including drills, impact drivers, wrenches, sockets, levels, and measuring tools.
Measure, align, level, fit, fasten, torque, and secure components according to project requirements.
Inspect completed work for proper fit, alignment, stability, and workmanship.
Identify incorrect, damaged, or missing components and report issues promptly.
Assist with material movement, staging, unpacking, cleanup, and other physical project duties.
Follow lockout, access-control, housekeeping, and personal protective equipment requirements as applicable.
Minimum Qualifications
Recent, verifiable experience in mechanical installation, equipment assembly, station or pod building, construction assembly, or a similar trade.
Proficiency with common hand and power tools and safe work practices.
Ability to read measurements and follow basic drawings, diagrams, or written assembly instructions.
Mechanical aptitude and the ability to troubleshoot fit or alignment issues.
Ability to work accurately in a fast-paced team environment.
Reliable transportation and dependable attendance.
Physical and Work Requirements
Ability to remain physically active for the full shift, including prolonged standing and walking.
Ability to frequently bend, squat, kneel, climb, reach overhead, push, pull, and work in varied positions.
Ability to repeatedly lift and carry up to 50 pounds, with team assistance for heavier components.
Ability to safely use ladders or approved elevated work platforms when trained and required.
Ability to wear all required personal protective equipment, including safety footwear, eye protection, and gloves.
Schedule and Attendance Expectations
Report on time and remain available for the full assigned shift.
Schedule will be confirmed by the site; overtime, weekends, or adjusted hours may be required based on project needs.
Maintain reliable attendance and notify the appropriate supervisor promptly of any emergency or unavoidable absence.
