We are committed to contributing positively to the communities where we live, work and play.Job DescriptionBase Pay: $21.00 per hour, plus $.75 shift differential per hour 3rd Shift: Sunday- Thursday, 11pm-7amBenefits Start Day 1 Weekly PayDuties and Responsibilities:Assist to set scheduled molds in presses for production and sample ordersConnect up all water lines to molds to ensure proper cooling without delays occurring due to molds having to be re-wateredSet all switches on presses after molds are properly set in so that the press will be ready for cycling without delayProperly set safety bars and switchesSet mold protection on all presses to eliminate mold damageSpray all molds to be pulled out of presses with mold protection spray and remove from presses without any damage to molds or pressClean up all excess equipment and suppliesTo hang molds in press using extreme caution not to damage locating ring and/or other mold componentsClamping molds between platens insuring proper and sufficient clamps are used to keep mold from coming looseMaking certain that all molds requiring cool water have all the lines hooked up without loopsCost control- taking care of hoses, clamps bolts and any other mold supply items to insure longer lifeHousekeeping- picking up all clutter and tools- keeping mold supply cage clean and organizedEnsure that safety bars and switches are working properly, and work safely performing above functionsSizing and cutting knock out bars and setting know out strike ¼ to ½" short of full strokeConnects water and air lines:Red in and black outCut to proper length and not intersecting or rubbing machine parts when movement occursComply or promote Company EHS policies and proceduresPerforms other duties as assignedPlease provide a current resume or complete work historyQualificationsMold Setting experience preferredProcessing and Setting Molds experience preferredMachine Operator experience requiredMechanical abilityMaintenance experience a plusMust be able to read and understand product and equipment caution or information labelsAbility to lift up to 50 pounds on a continual basis above shoulder height and below the waistAbility to move in and out of presses, climb ladders, and torque bolts to 425 ft. lbGeneral knowledge of mold design and mold cooling system by layoutKnowledge of molding press control operationsRead, understand, and follow "Set Up Prep Checklist" & "Mold Setter General Guidelines"Ability to work in a non-temperature-controlled manufacturing environmentComplete LOTO Authorized TrainingComplete Crane and Rigging Authorized TrainingComplete Forklift Authorized TrainingPlease provide a current resume or complete work historyAdditional InformationWhy work for Cornerstone Building Brands?Our teams are at the heart of our purpose to positively contribute to the communities where we live, work and play.
