If so, this is an opportunity to step into a project-facing role where your technical depth and coordination skills will directly shape project outcomes.

We’re Genesis AEC – an award-winning architecture, engineering, construction management, and CQV firm and a leader in the life sciences industry. As a Project Engineer, you will be responsible for supporting a team of mechanical engineers and designers delivering high-quality designs for technically challenging and rewarding projects. We expose our engineers to a variety of complex projects, arming them with experience, resources, and support to succeed.

Perform engineering analyses, including HVAC load calculations, air and hydronic system sizing, and pressure/flow modeling.

Support the layout and design of HVAC and central utility systems through field investigations and coordination with design teams.

Coordinate with internal disciplines, architects, clients, and contractors to align design intent and project requirements.

Conduct facility assessments, infrastructure evaluations, and support utility master planning efforts.

Develop key design deliverables such as airflow diagrams, pressurization strategies, and zoning/classification plans.

Prepare equipment specifications and evaluate vendor submittals for compliance with project and client standards.

Respond to RFIs, review shop drawings, and participate in construction-phase activities, including punch lists and field observations.

Collaborate with senior engineers on controls and automation integration for mechanical systems.

5–10+ years of relevant experience in HVAC/mechanical system design

Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to apply engineering fundamentals to complex systems

Effective communication and collaboration skills across multidisciplinary teams

Preferred Qualifications
