Here is your chance to work with a 100% employee-owned NYC mechanical contractor delivering major, complex infrastructure projects across heavy mechanical, HVAC, plumbing and fire protection
A leading mechanical contractor is seeking an experienced Superintendent to oversee large-scale HVAC and mechanical construction projects throughout New York.
This is a great opportunity for a hands-on construction leader with a strong background in heavy mechanical projects, field operations, labor management, scheduling, safety, and project delivery.
Responsibilities
Lead day-to-day field operations on major mechanical construction projects
Manage field labor, subcontractors, and site logistics
Coordinate with Project Managers, General Contractors, owners, and engineers
Develop and maintain project schedules and look-ahead plans
Monitor productivity, labor costs, and material usage
Conduct site quality inspections and coordinate testing activities
Ensure all work is completed safely, on schedule, and within budget
Attend and lead subcontractor and site meetings
Prepare daily reports and site documentation
Maintain a strong safety culture across all project activities
Requirements
6+ years of heavy mechanical construction experience
Strong HVAC, piping, and mechanical systems knowledge
Proven experience managing large commercial construction projects
Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
Experience supervising field labor and subcontractors
Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
Proficient with Microsoft Office and construction management tools
OSHA 30, DOB SST, or Superintendent License preferred
Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field preferred
