Job description
Role Overview: Provides direct patient care in a Med Surg Cardiac unit, assessing, diagnosing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing activities in accordance with standards of care. Promotes patient and family-centered care, educating on illness management, post-treatment care, and medication use. Participates in activities that ensure patient safety, quality, and regulatory compliance, while engaging in ongoing professional development.
Key Responsibilities:
Develops and documents individualized care plans with clear goals, collaborating with the healthcare team, patients, and families.
Uses critical nursing skills to assess physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs, considering patient preferences, cultural, and spiritual factors.
Supports a safe environment by adhering to safety protocols and participating in quality improvement initiatives.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required: Nursing Diploma or Associate’s Degree, RN license, and ability to work safely and alertly.
Preferred: Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing and at least 2 years of experience.
Additional: Telemetry experience is a plus.
